Bishops of Bastard Beginnings is a novella series that began in the Summer of 2012. It was written by the series creator Darnell Deepwell. The treatments were written by Mickey Random.
Following the Webcomic series, questions were raised about the origins of the characters and the church. This led to a string of new bullshit media to be sold on Amazon and CreateSpace.
People weren't interested in the books as much as the comics. The author took note of this and decided not to release any more books with too many words for the sake of collecting more royalties.
The series takes place five years before the webcomic and covers the early beginnings of the Congregation. The saga begins when Magda arrives 8 years in the past and joins the Church.
From there, Magda finds and recruits her younger self (Sadie) and begins a chain reaction of effects that seriously fuck up the timeline she's on for herself, her counterpart and everybody else.

Volume 1
Based roughly 5 years before the webcomic series, a time-traveling green hag named Magda teams up with Arch Bishop Masked Bastard to find "Sarai", a woman whose child will be the Internet Saviour.
Volume 2
Masked Bastard is sent by Anonymous to recover the Pass Key of the Internet while a mysterious entity known as "The Cardinal" also seeks the Key and powerful antiquities that are linked to the Arch Bishop's true heritage.
Volume 3
After seeing Lady Sadie off to college, the Arch Bishop searches for his birth mother to discover the truth of his origin. The Cardinal is freed from imprisonment and seeks revenge on the Bastard by allying with Masked Baroness, a being with extraordinary powers like Masked Bastard's.

This series was an utter failure. It didn't make dick until about a year later when Bishops of Bastard: Foremost was announced. 2 Years later the three volumes were condensed into one clusterfuck. What a load of Shit Cheese.
